Hannah Ellen Runge dreamed of one day being a college graduate. A loving person with an infectious laugh, Hannah had a true passion for helping others and wanted to support those who have similarly struggled with substance use. Her legacy lives on through her amazing son, Carson, and in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing her – we still see your bright eyes. 

The H.E.R. Legacy Scholarship is intended to provide an opportunity for students who previously struggled with addiction, are in recovery, or whose lives have been changed by a friend or family member’s addiction to achieve educational goals at Towson University.  Through this scholarship, we aim to honor Hannah’s memory and passion for supporting others with similar experiences.

This scholarship is an annual $1,000 academic award, to be used towards an individual’s education at Towson University.
