The Department of Communication Studies is home to more than 500 students majoring and minoring in communication studies, studying advocacy and public discourse, identity and culture, leadership and organizational communication. The department also runs the Public Communication Center, where students, faculty and staff, and community members can go for help with presentations and advocacy projects.
