Canine Comfort Companion Fund

Towson University has welcomed its first Canine Comfort Companion to campus!

During the 2023 Big Give, more than 115 TU students, faculty, staff, and alumni donated funds to provide the training, food and veterinarian care necessary to have a dedicated comfort dog on campus.

Research shows that interacting with dogs increases dopamine and serotonin levels. Dogs can also deescalate stressful situations, reduce the pressure of finals and improve the overall well-being of our Tiger community.

Thanks to the generosity of TU donors, our new comfort dog will be present on campus 220 days each year, to benefit our Tigers through thousands of interactions!

Gifts made to the Canine Comfort Companion Fund supports the dogs’ continued care and help bring additional canine companions to TU.

Make a “paw”erful impact by making a gift today!
